Guide

What is Avasta?

Avasta is an AI-powered multiplayer sandbox RPG.

You create a character, choose their personality, appearance, and starting location, then give them instructions. AI simulates their actions and interactions with the world and other characters.

Unlike traditional RPGs, you're not limited to a predefined set of actions or dialogue options.

What is the goal of the game?

There is no single objective or victory condition. You decide what your character should pursue.

Survive, explore, make friends, build a settlement, form a community, accumulate wealth, uncover mysteries, or cause chaos. It's up to you.

Can I do anything?

Almost anything! Avasta is designed to let players attempt actions beyond those found in traditional games.

However, attempting something doesn't guarantee success. Your character is still subject to:

  • the world's rules and real world physics
  • their own abilities
  • the consequences of their actions

Content involving children or minors is not permitted.

How do turns work?

Avasta operates on scheduled turns. During each turn, the AI processes your character's instructions, their surroundings, and interactions with other characters.

Once the turn finishes, you'll receive a report describing what happened. You can then give new instructions for the next turn.

Can I prepare instructions for future turns?

Yes. You can set instructions in advance, allowing your character to continue following your plans without needing your attention every turn.

What happens if I don't log in for several days?

Your character continues participating in the scheduled turns.

If you accumulate at least three days of unread updates, a Recap feature can help you catch up without reading every individual report.

What happens if my character dies?

You can create a new one.

How does character progression work?

No experience points, no skill list. Those were abstractions older games had to follow character progression.

We are at a new age. You character will develop like other real life humans, going through life and learning.

We don't accumulate ‘math’ points when we study for exam, we don’t get carpentry skill unlock by visiting a carpentry class once. We learn by the history of our actions, same is the plan for Avasta.

Can characters invent advanced technology?

You are only limited by physics, the abilities of your character and the materials it can find.

How do I get equipment and weapons?

You can instruct your character to search for useful objects, gather materials, craft equipment, trade with others, or attempt to take items by force.

What's available depends on your surroundings, resources, and the circumstances of the attempt.

How do I heal my character?

You can instruct your character to rest, seek shelter, treat injuries, find medical supplies, or ask others for help.

The game engine aims to simulate real life, so no HP (hit points) are allocated to a character. If your leg is injured you might limp; if your arm is hit, swinging a weapon might be harder.

Can I interact with other players?

Yes! Many characters you encounter belong to other real players. Your character can communicate, cooperate, trade, negotiate, or fight with them.

You can also meet other players on the Avasta Discord server.

Can I build structures or establish a settlement?

Yes, people do it. The world is dynamic and is changing with your actions.
